Sadie is doing Great!

Hello everyone! Sadie had surgery on her hand for trigger thumb release on Tuesday and she is doing well. Her surgery went great according to the surgeon. We had a hand surgeon do her surgery because most pediatric orthos are not as well versed in hands they mostly do large joints. So because of this we had to have the surgery at a regular hospital instead of a kids one. She was the only child in the surgical area so she got a lot of special attention. She was one brave little girl, I was amazed at how good she was. When they finally took her from me she did start to cry a little, I think I cried more, so they had to drug her a little extra in order to get her to breathe out of the gas mask, then they put in her IV once she was asleep. Her recovery was a little scary because she woke up briefly then fell back asleep and they couldn't wake her up. Her blood pressure shot up and her oxygen went down. They put like max oxygen on her and it started to help and then I started asking her about her sister, that is when she started to perk up. Those two have an incredible bond. She had to bring bandages and dolls and oxygen masks home for her sister. We were in recovery for four hours which was quite a long time. She has been doing well so far and has not had too much pain. I am so grateful for all your prayers and I am so relieved for the super scary part to be done. Now we just have to work on a complete recovery and hope she will have full use of her thumb. I have posted pictures of her bandages, one is her operation hand and the other is where they had the IV. I've also posted a picture of the stuff Sadie insisted on bringing home for her sister, too cute!
